ABOUT YO STUDIOS

  • At YO, you’ll love our high-quality group classes, each with only 12-25 participants. 

    We've got lots of ways to get you moving and feeling great, both body and mind. Pick from yoga, pilates, barre, dance, cardio, strength training, and even prenatal and postnatal classes.

    Our classes come in different intensity levels, indicating how red your cheeks might get during the workout :) Don’t worry about your experience level – most of our classes are suitable for everyone. Some classes might be more fun if you’ve tried others first, and we’ll always mention that in the class description. Check out all our class types here.

  • YO STUDIOS is your new movement home, welcoming you just as you are, no matter your fitness level!

    At YO, we make it a priority to get to know you and greet you with big smiles and positive energy every time. Our instructors are passionate about movement and dedicated to making you feel comfortable and inspired.

    Our studios are bright and inviting, and you're always welcome to relax with a cup of tea or some snacks after class. Get to know YO better here.

  • YO has three studios in total. You can find us in central Copenhagen at Islands Brygge, in the heart of Carlsberg Byen, and in Aarhus C, located inside the Scandinavian Center. See our addresses here.

  • You can join classes from 6:30 AM until 9:30 PM! On weekends, we start a bit later and finish in the late afternoon, leaving room for all the other wonderful weekend activities. With over 100 classes a week to choose from, it's easy to fit YO into your life. See our class schedule here.

  • Before and after classes, you can relax in the lounge with a cup of tea, a glass of cold water, or some snacks. We have changing rooms, and if you need to shower after your workout, you will find excellent shower facilities at both our Carlsberg Byen and Aarhus studios.

  • Yes, we have several classes each week that are taught in English. Just check the class schedule to see if a class is in English or Danish. You're always welcome to join the Danish classes too; our instructors will do their best to make sure everyone can keep up.

  • Yes, many of our classes are livestreamed, so you can join in from home. We also have over 200 on-demand videos you can use at home anytime. 

    You get access to online classes with a YO UNLIMITED membership or by purchasing access to YO MOVES. Learn more about YO MOVES here.

  • Absolutely! YO is for everyone, no matter your experience level. Most classes can be adjusted for beginners, and our schedule shows who each class is designed for, so you’ll always know what to expect.

    Our friendly instructors will always ask if there are any newcomers in the class so they can provide extra guidance.

  • Yes, we have a wide range of prenatal and postnatal classes! With a MAMMA/PREGGO membership or punch card, you get access to specially designed classes, and you can, of course, also join our regular classes.

    Your baby is always welcome at YO! On MAMMA classes, you can bring your little one, and there's plenty of space to relax with your baby in the lounge area after your class. We also have changing stations in all YO studios.

  • Yes, whether it’s a bachelorette party, corporate event, or another type of private gathering, YO is ready to facilitate some fantastic movement!  You can book our lovely studios, or we can come to you. Learn more about booking YO here.

  • Yes! Search for our app, "YO STUDIOS." With it, you can easily purchase memberships and class passes, view the schedule, and book your spot in classes. The app also lets you access 200+ on-demand workout videos if you have a YO UNLIMITED membership or have purchased access to YO MOVES.

    Alternatively, you can log in through our website, where you’ll find all the same options as in the app.

BUYING MEMBERSHIPS AND PUNCH CARDS

  • You can choose between flexible punch cards with 5, 10, or 20 classes, or monthly billed memberships.

    Our YO UNLIMITED membership includes unlimited access to all our studios and lets you book up to 10 classes at a time. Forgot your mat? No problem, we have one you can borrow. Can’t make it to the studio? Join a YO MOVES livestream class or choose from over 200 on-demand videos.

    Our YO BASIC membership offers training at one selected studio and allows you to book up to 5 classes at a time.

    Both memberships and punch cards are available in MAMMA/PREGGO versions, allowing you to join special prenatal and postnatal classes. See prices here.

  • There's no signup fee for memberships, and they start on the same day you purchase them.

    Payments are recurring and will be automatically charged to your payment card every month on the same date as your purchase, until you decide to cancel your membership.

    When you cancel your membership, you must pay for the current billing period + 30 days.

  • Yes! We have a couple of options for you to explore YO. You can start with our 1 CLASS DROP IN for a single class, or go for our 1 WEEK DROP IN, which lets you try out as many classes as you want for a whole week. Find out more details here.

  • Yes! If you are a student, senior, or unemployed, you can get a 100 DKK discount per month on your membership with our YO LIGHT versions!

    Just send us an email when you purchase your membership, with documentation of your enrollment in education and/or proof of senior or unemployment status.

  • It depends on the punch card you have purchased. Here's how long each type is valid from the date of purchase:

    • 20 x CLASSES: 12 months

    • 10 x CLASSES: 6 months

    • 5 x CLASSES: 3 months

    • 1 CLASS DROP IN: 1 month

    Please note, the validity period for punch cards cannot be extended under any circumstances. Also, each punch card is personal and cannot be shared with others.

  • Absolutely! With MOVE YOUR FRIENDS, you get a 50 % discount on your membership for one month each time you introduce a friend to YO. Plus, your friend also enjoys their first month at YO for half price! It’s a win-win for all! Learn more about MOVE YOUR FRIENDS here.

  • Yes! A gift card to YO is the perfect movement gift. You choose the amount, and the gift card will be sent to your email, so you can forward it or print it out yourself. You can buy your gift card here.

  • At YO, you must be at least 16 years old to join the classes (both in the studio and online). In special cases, we can make exceptions - send us an email at info@yostudios.dk to inquire.

  • Yes, you have a 14-day return option if you regret your purchase.

    Send us an email at info@yostudios.dk no later than 14 days after your purchase. If you have already used your membership, punch card, drop in or gift card you forfeit the right to a refund.

PAUSING AND CANCELING MEMBERSHIPS

  • You can pause your membership for up to 3 months. Simply send us an email at pr@yostudios.dk, letting us know the start and end dates for your pause.

  • You can pause your membership as many times as you need. With a YO UNLIMITED membership, you get 2 free pauses per year; after that, each pause costs 100 DKK. For YO BASIC members, each pause always costs 100 DKK.

    YO MOVES memberships cannot be paused.

  • If you need to reactivate your membership sooner than planned, email us at pr@yostudios.dk to stop your pause period.

  • No, once a pause is set, it cannot be extended. When the agreed pause period ends, your membership will automatically be reactivated.

    You can then arrange a new pause period, if you wish, by writing to pr@yostudios.dk. Please note that you must have a payment period between two pause periods.

  • Simply log in to our website or app and go to "My Profile", where you’ll find the option to cancel your membership. Please note, cancellations made via email, SMS, phone call, or social media are invalid, and will not be processed.

    Your cancellation will take effect after the current billing period plus 30 days. For YO MOVES memberships, you only pay for the current billing period.

    If you have mat storage, remember to cancel it separately.

  • To cancel your mat storage, simply log in to our website or app and visit "My Profile". You'll find the cancellation option there. Please note, cancellations made via email, SMS, phone call, or social media are invalid, and will not be processed.

    There's no cancellation notice for mat storage, so you can cancel it right away. Just remember to collect your mat before your cancellation takes effect!

  • No, you can’t cancel your membership while it's paused. You need to end the pause and reactivate your membership first. Email us at pr@yostudios.dk and we’ll sort it out.

    Note that the standard cancellation terms still apply, meaning you will pay for 1 month plus 30 days from the date your membership is reactivated.

BOOKING AND CANCELING CLASSES

  • Once you've purchased a membership or a punch card, you can book classes through our website or app, YO STUDIOS. Log in with the profile you created at purchase, go to the schedule, and you're ready to book your spot!

  • With a YO UNLIMITED membership, you can have 10 active bookings at a time. All other memberships and punch cards allow 5 active bookings. If you have a 1 CLASS DROP IN, you can book only one class.

  • You can book classes up to one month in advance, regardless of your membership or punch card type.

  • Our MAMMA/PREGGO classes are specially designed for prenatal and postnatal care. You can book these classes if you have a:

    • YO UNLIMITED MAMMA/PREGGO membership

    • YO BASIC MAMMA/PREGGO membership

    • MAMMA/PREGGO punch card

    • 1 WEEK DROP IN

    • 1 CLASS DROP IN

  • You can book livestreamed classes with a YO UNLIMITED or a YO MOVES membership. Book these classes through the schedule on our app or website, when logged in with your profile.

    Classes are streamed via Zoom, which you can access as an app or through your browser. You’ll receive a link via email 2 hours before the class starts.

  • If a class is fully booked, you can join the waitlist. When logged in through our website or app, you can see your position in the queue.

    The waitlist is cleared 4 hours before the class starts, so if you haven’t been added by then, you won’t get a spot. But don’t worry! Keep an eye on the schedule, as spots often open up. So don't hesitate to sign up if a space becomes available!

    And remember, we really appreciate it if you only book classes you can actually attend. If you know you can't make it, please cancel in good time. This helps everyone by keeping the waitlists short.

  • You can cancel up to 4 hours before the class starts (2 hours for Mamma & Preggo classes) without a fee. You can easily cancel through our app or by logging in to our website.

    Cancellations via email, SMS, or social media are invalid, and will not be processed.

  • If you cancel later than 4 hours before class (2 hours for Mamma & Preggo classes), it will cost you a fee.

    If you have a membership, you are charged 30 DKK. If you have a 1 WEEK DROP IN, 1 day will be deducted from it. If you have a punch card, the punch used for booking the class will be lost. If you have a 1 CLASS DROP IN card, you lose the card.

  • If you don’t show up for your booked class, you will be charged a fee.

    The same applies if you are late - you will not be checked in, and it will count as a no-show (except for MAMMA classes).

    If you have a membership, the fee is 50 DKK. If you have a 1 WEEK DROP IN, one day will be deducted from it. If you have a punch card, the punch used for booking the class will be lost. And if you have a 1 CLASS DROP IN card, you lose the card.

  • Sometimes we need to make adjustments to the schedule, so you might find that the instructor, type, or time of a class has changed on short notice. We will notify you by email, and you’ll of course have the option to cancel the class if the changes don't suit you.

    In case a class is canceled on short notice, you will be notified by both SMS and email.

PARTICIPATING IN CLASSES

  • First of all, the class description tells you what you need to bring. Plus, you'll have a much better experience at YO if you're a bit prepared for the type of movement you'll be doing and the intensity you can expect.

  • Check out the class description before you leave home! It will tell you if you need to bring a mat, workout shoes, or maybe warm socks for a yin yoga class :) Our studios are fully equipped with everything else you need, from kettlebells and resistance bands to yoga pillows and blankets.

  • If you have a YO UNLIMITED membership, you can borrow our high-quality Manduka mats for free! Otherwise, you can always rent a mat for 20 DKK per session, payable via MobilePay when you're at the studio.

  • Of course! For just 35 DKK a month, your mat can have it’s own spot at YO. Just send us an email at pr@yostudios.dk to learn more.

  • Let’s arrive 'fashionably early'! Aim to arrive well before the class begins, ideally 5-10 minutes early. This gives you time to settle in without disrupting others, who are already in session.

    If you arrive late for an indoor class, you won't be checked in, and it will be counted as a no-show, and a fee will occur.

  • For outdoor classes, please be in your workout attire and at the studio at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.

    We won't be able to wait, so you will miss the class if you're late. You won't be checked in, and it will be counted as a no-show, and a fee will occur.

  • Yes, for classes that are livestreamed, you may appear on video. However, livestreams are never recorded without prior notice.

  • When you book a spot in a livestreamed class, you will receive a link to the class 2 hours before it starts. The livestream is conducted via Zoom, which you can access as an app or through your browser.

    Make sure your internet connection is stable to ensure the quality of the livestreamed class.

    Feel free to have your camera on during the class, but remember to mute your microphone. And the only other thing you need to do is roll out your mat in a spot where you have space to move :)

  • We love having ample space to move around at YO. So, keep the area around your mat clear to ensure a pleasant and clean environment. Place your bags, jackets, and other items in the changing room or behind the curtains.

  • Arrive early so you have time to enjoy your tea in the lounge before entering the studio, ensuring we don't trip over it during the class.

    If you bring a water bottle into the studio, please place it where others won't stumble over it. :)

  • We love when you share your YO experience on social media!

    But once the class starts, phones should be turned off and put away. There are shelves behind the doors in the studios where you can store your phone and other valuables before the class starts.

    Make sure your phone is on airplane mode to prevent it from vibrating or ringing during class.

  • We’ve made it easy for you! Just line up your mat with the small stickers on the floor to make the most of the space. For barre and ballet classes, find a sticker on the barre and stand there.

  • Ah, the yoga class is winding down, and you’ve settled in nicely for the best relaxation ever. But suddenly there’s noises next to you as someone rushes to pack up and hurry out the door. It can be quite disruptive for the rest of the class and for the teacher's flow if you leave early—even if you think you're sneaking out like a ninja.

    So do yourself and everyone else a huge favor and stay until the class is finished :)

  • At YO, we believe in the importance of continuing to move, even if you have injuries or limitations. Maybe you can join a different type of class for a while or perhaps you can move with modifications.

    You're always welcome to ask our instructors for advice. Just remember, participating in activities at YO is always at your own risk.

  • Yes, by participating in classes at YO STUDIOS, you automatically accept the following terms:

    • Participation at YO STUDIOS is at your own risk. You are responsible for being in good health to ensure your safety during activities.

    • YO STUDIOS is not liable for any injuries that occur while you are a member or if you cause injury to another member while in the studio.

    • YO STUDIOS is not responsible for lost personal belongings while you are at the studio.
